Employee Recognition Liturgy 2017

Catholic High held its annual Employee Recognition Liturgy this week in honor of our 56 employees for their ministry in education at The Catholic High School of Baltimore. Reverend Ron Zoubek presided over the liturgy and members of the faculty/staff served as greeters, ushers, cross bearers, candle bears, offertory, Eucharistic ministers, and the choir.

At the end of the liturgy the following employees were recognized for their years of dedicated service to our school.

  • For 5 years of service:
      Mrs. Kathleen Daniels
      Mrs. Val Shinsky
  • For 10 years of service:
      Mrs. Linda DeRemigis
      Mr. Andrew Patrick
  • For 20 years of service:
      Mrs. Karen Mitchell
  • For 25 years of service:
      Mrs. Elaine Hummel

In addition, we recognized the recipient of the Mission Award which is given each year to an employee who exemplifies Catholic High's Franciscan identity and values. This year's Mission Award was given to Mr. Steve Cole!

Mr. Cole is described by his colleagues as someone who constantly goes above and beyond the requirements, working countless extra hours throughout the school year and summer. He exemplifies the mission of Catholic High and challenges his students to give their best. Mr. Cole is well-respected and admired for all that he does for Catholic High as a department chair, moderator of It's Academic and the Robotics Team and coordinator of the STEM program, and he truly encourages his students to let their light shine. Congratulations Mr. Cole!
