Catholic High Voted "Best Private High School for Girls" For Second Consecutive Year

Dec 01, 2023

The Catholic High School of Baltimore is proud to share that it has been voted “Best Private High School (Girls)” in a Readers’ Choice contest by Baltimore Style Magazine for the second consecutive year!  President, Dr. Barbara D. Nazelrod ’68, and Principal, Dr. Philip Piercy, had the pleasure of announcing the award to students, faculty, staff, benefactors, alumnae, and members of the Board of Trustees at a school-wide assembly on the morning of December 1, 2023.

Dr. Nazelrod made the announcement in front of the entire school community and guests, who celebrated with confetti and performances by the Visual and Performing Arts Department, including the school’s marching band, the only one of its kind in the Baltimore area. “This award is welcome validation that Catholic High continues to deliver on its promise: to provide an outstanding education in the Franciscan tradition that will continue to serve and benefit students well beyond their brief time with us,” Dr. Nazelrod said. “The recognition is an affirmation of everyone in our school community—from students to faculty and staff to alumnae and all who support the school. The private school market in Baltimore is among the most competitive in the country. We hope this recognition will help those prospective parents and students considering Catholic High for their high school education to come here. We love our students and their families and consider them a forever part of the Catholic High community.”
