Voted "Best Private High School for Girls" for the 3rd Consecutive Year

Dec 04, 2024

On Wednesday, December 4, Dr. Barbara Nazelrod, President and alumna of The Catholic High School of Baltimore, notified the students, faculty, staff, benefactors, alumnae, and members of the Board of Trustees, that the school has been voted Best Private High School for Girls for the third consecutive year, as well as Best Place to Work. The school was notified of the designations by Baltimore Style magazine, which conducted an online poll of Baltimore area private schools.

Dr. Nazelrod, who last month received the Maryland Daily Record’s Most Admired CEO Award, made the announcement in front of the school’s 300 students, who celebrated with a special video, confetti and the school’s marching band, the only one of its kind in the Baltimore area.

“These accolades are a reflection of the continued tradition of excellence at The Catholic High School of Baltimore and the dedication, commitment and loyalty of the students, alumnae, teachers, staff, Board of Trustees, Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, and all who work hard every day to carry out the school’s 86-year mission of educating young women in the Franciscan tradition,” Dr. Nazelrod said. “Catholic High serves students from Baltimore and surrounding counties—students who see Catholic High as a welcoming, nurturing space where they can prepare for a world full of endless opportunities and where they can reach the fullness of their God-given potential!”
